New To Hammer & Stain?

Hammer & Stain is a Do-it-Yourself Studio specializing in Home Decor. Attend a Public Workshop, Book a Private Party, or just spend time crafting during the day with us. We offer all types of projects from Wall Signs, Yard Games, Customized Picture Pallets, Porch Decor, Chunky Knit Blankets, and Functional Decor. We will walk you through the process step by step, sharing our tips and painting techniques to add texture and visual interest to your one of a kind handmade project. We want you to make something you'd display proudly. If the public setting isn't for you, you can even grab a Kit and Take it Home to craft at your convenience!
Everyone can enjoy the experience at Hammer & Stain Roanoke from advanced to beginner, and any and all age groups. We offer custom projects and premade projects.
If you don't see the project you'd like, just send us a message to hammerstainroanoke@gmail.com and we will help you bring your vision to life.
Typical private studio time will last for 2 hours.
The instructor be there to assist or to answer all your questions. You will be hands-on throughout the entire workshop, but if at any time you have questions or need help, please let us know! We are there to HELP YOU!!

PRE-BOOK WORKSHOP! Registration closes November 1st 

Join us Friday December 1st at 6:30 pm at Hammer & Stain Roanoke

Your blanket will measure approx. 40" x 60" when completed depending on the tightness that you knit it (5 skeins, you can purchase additional at the workshop if you wish). NO experience necessary, you will pick your yarn colors at the workshop (see color options below). Although we will have a large variety, colors are not guaranteed, they are chosen at the workshop first come first serve. The use of multiple colors is allowed depending on each guest's preference and color availability.  


You are welcome to bring in snacks. We will have a complementary beverage ticket for each guest. Feel free to come dressed for comfort and coziness :) 

This workshop requires registration which allows one adult to create a blanket.

Hammer & Stain Roanoke has A NEW Christmas workshop! Paint a lighted Ceramic Christmas Tree NOVEMBER 10th 6-9pm

Create a tree similar to the one your grandmother had. Your tree will be an heirloom to be passed down for generations to come.

Trees will be painted in your choice of paint colors in the studio. Also provided during class only, will be metallic and glitter paints. We will also have SNOW as an add on for those bold enough to add it! No kiln firing required.

A multi-colored light kit is included with each tree and the star. Clear light kits are available for $8. 


REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE  Sept 30th @11:59pm FOR AMPLE AMOUNT OF ORDERING TIME.

Each project can be purchased as a kit to take home. An additional $5 will be billed upon pick up for cost of packaging.

HOW TO REGISTER:

1. Choose your project design from the dropdown menu below. 
2. If attending with friends, list who you'd like to sit with in the Notes box.
3. Agree to terms & proceed with checkout. (PLEASE READ TERMS THOROUGHLY            BEFORE CHECKING OUT)

  • Due to the customization at all of our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS. However, if you cancel with at least 48 hours notice, your project can be turned into a to go kit to be completed at home. You may also be able to complete your project at an open paint session. Projects will only be held for 30 days.  Please private message us on Facebook or email us hammerstainroanoke@gmail.com for any questions on attendance.
  • Dates are not transferable to another workshop. Due to the nature of this workshop to sell out, we cannot allow dates to be transferred.
